Shirley's San Antonio Real Estate Blog: Schertz, Texas~One of the best small towns in America!

Schertz, Texas~One of the best small towns in America!

Money Magazine just released it's list of the top 100 small towns to live and Schertz came in at number 39 in the nation.  The editors at Money Magazine looked for cities with a population between 8,500 to 50,000, where job prospects are promising, crime is low, schools are good, and homes are reasonably priced.

Whether you are moving to San Antonio or moving within the San Antonio area, Schertz is a great place to make your home. Schertz is very near Randolph Air Force Base and convenient to Ft. Sam Houston and BAMC.

If you are thinking of a move to Schertz or anywhere in San Antonio, call me!

I can vouch for Schertz! Many decades ago I had many friends at Texas Lutheran College, some from Schertz. I stayed there many times during the summer on my various "rafting down the Guadalupe" expeditions to New Braunfels. Great location -- close to San Antonio, Seguin, New Braunfels, and Austin.

Hi Russel, Don't forget Gruene.  Glad you have fond memories of the area.

Never heard of that little town Shirley. I got a traffic ticket in Moscow Texas once. I was on the way to SFA in Nacogdoches aka: Nacka-no-where!

Howdy there Shirley

Glad to see your back in the saddle, my friend!

I've heard a lot of really good things about Schertz, from my family down in Texas.

You and your family take care, ya hear! and I'll see you around the net.

God Bless Texas

Hi Greg, Schertz is just part of San Antonio the same way Bellaire is part of Houston.

Hi Dale, Schertz is great.  About 1/3 of the population of Schertz works at Randolph Air Force base.

LOL, Mike.  Schertz is a great little city, a city within the city of San Antonio.

Hi, Shirley:

I am so envious. I live about 30 feet from Schertz, in Cibolo. Waah! My neighbors get their trash picked up on Thursday; mine is on Wednesday. That means they have one more day to remember to put out the bin than I do. More importantly, they get their recycling picked up, too! We have to take ours in to the recycling center.

It just isn't fair. :) Schertz rules.

Cheers,

Robin

Hi Mike

Hi Robin, I am thankful that we don't have to take our recyle to the recycling center!  Schertz is nice and Cibolo is nice, too.  Have a great week, Robin!
