Now you can enjoy a visit to The San Antonio Museum of Art and then enjoy the atmosphere and cuisine of SAMA's new restaurant on the Riverwalk at the same time. The cafe, aptly named Café des Artistes, features a cafe terrace for outdoor dining.
The restaurant is under the creative supervision of Chef Damien Watel who plans to serve casual French bistro fare with an emphasis on fresh soups, salads and sandwiches. Homemade French pastries and croissants will also be served.
Hours for the museum are: Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To coincide with the museum's extended hours "Free Tuesday" program, the café will be open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday nights.

Howdy and evenen there Shirley
I sure do enjoy outdoor cafe dining, sure don't find many of them up in these here parts. I really like your new header, not sure if I told you that yet or not. It and the background really looks good with each other.
Hi Shirley... it looks and sounds like a dining experience well paired to the environment and city of San Antonio. :)
Caron, Dale, and Steve, Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a happy St. Paddy's Day!

Shirley - I have loved the "River Walk" area of towns that have created them. Sacramento has a fairly recent addition of one, as I know Reno, Nevada has as well. However, I can imagine that San Antonio's has been around a very long time, and must be enchanting and full of charm!
We don't get down to the San Antono Riverwalk as often as we should. Maybe we will put this on our list of things to do and also plan on lunch at this new Riverwalk restaurant.
The Riverwalk is always inviting, but that new Café des Artistes looks particularly inviting1
