Nothing huge, that I can see from the numbers, Shirley. Or am I missing something?

It's always good to have these stats to help us get some perspective on current conditions...

Hi William, No dramatic changes except for the number of people looking online.

Shirley, What I notices is the the national median value is up about 25% despite our major downturn.

That's true, Dan.  I wonder how much it was up for each of those 10 years.

Interesting numbers...especially the online part!  I am surprised it isn't 100%...I am sure it will be real close to that soon!  Thank you for sharing!

It will be interesting to see the 2010 numbers.  I've closed so many deals with first time homebuyers under 30 years old in the last 8 months it is amazing.

Hi Shirley... I think it's very interesting that the median age of buyers has not changed!  I'm surprised.

Hi Shirley, I like the comparison and wonder what we will see in 2020?

Posted by Mary Douglas, REALTOR ®, Red Feather Lakes, Colorado (United Country Ponderosa Realty) almost 2 years ago

Shirley - Those are amazing comparisons.  Everytime I groan at how the value of my home has gone down in the last 3 years, I quickly remember that it is still worth 50% more than it was 10 years ago!

For years they said land doubled every ten years. I would like to see those stats.

Shirley, It is amazing the changes 10 years have made.  I think the biggest of all is the Internet though!

I have to agree with Marchel.............the Net and Email has changed our lives!

Posted by Melissa Kulikoff (Texas Loan Officer) almost 2 years ago

It is amazing that even with the price drop of the past two years if people would learn to just hold their homes they could still see increases. That is clearly proved in the 10 year trend you showed here.
