The Texas Association of Realtors has released its quarterly report. The report shows the median home price statewide is $141,500, an increase of about 3 percent.
Here is the median price in various Texas cities:
San Antonio: $140,900, down 2 percent
Austin: $178,200, down 1.5 percent
Houston: $148,500, up 7.14 percent
Dallas: $151,200, up 4.2 percent
Fort Worth: $110,200, up 2.2 percent
El Paso: $127,300, down 3 percent
Corpus Christi: $129,600, up 1.72
McAllen: $94,300, up 2.4 percent
Galveston: $150,000, up 60.8 percent
San Marcos: $132,000, up .91 percent
Kerrville: $167,800, up 4.87 percent

Thrilled to see the Houston number!! What is most surprising to me is that Galveston's median is higher than Houston, esp. with the threat of hurricanes!
