I was shocked and saddened today when my husband told me of the sudden death of Tim Russert. Russert was a great journalist and interviewer, of course, and a kind and intelligent man. But the thing that impressed me so deeply was the fact that in today's world where traditional values seem to have been discarded by so many, Russert not only loved his father, his son, and the rest of his family so much but that he so openly displayed that love. And so it is ironic that this wonderful son and father passed away so near Father's Day.
