The Cheapest and Most Expensive Homes in San Antonio

As of today the cheapest single family home for sale on the San Antonio MLS is $10,000 but since it is located in Dilley, I am not counting it.  So the cheapest listing in the metro area is $17,750.  It has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and 808 square feet.  It is 63 years old and sits on a .09 acre lot.  It is being sold "as is" and has been on the market for 13 days.

The most expensive listing on our MLS is $13,500,000 but since it is located on 202 acres, I am not counting it.  So the most expensive single family home on our MLS is $6,490,000.  It has 3 bedrooms (that doesn't sound right), 5.5 bathrooms, and a 6 car garage.  It has 8700 square feet and sits on a .94 acre lot.  It is a brand new home, taking 3 years to build, and has been on the market for 31 days.

To bad they missed the market. Contractors tell me that today the trend is for the smaller home. The big stuff was built to attract the Baby Boomers. We don't need houses of that size anymore. McMansions and SUV's are no longer in Vogue.
