Shirley's San Antonio Real Estate Blog: Welcome home soldier!

Welcome home soldier!

Although he posted it last month, I just now saw this wonderful video on Simon's blog.  Thanks Simon!

Via Simon Conway (Picket Fence Realty):
I just love this - and I know you will too. This is how a couple of dogs greeted "daddy" after he had been away from home for 14 months!

What a wonderful piece just in time for the Holidays! I have to confess that I'm a little surprised that they remembered him in this way after he had been away for so long, but I do know that this will put a huge smile on your faces.

Dogs = pure and simplistic love. I think they are also saying "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!" Enjoy!

This was from our son's R & R during his first tour of Iraq.  Only 63 days until he is back again.  Not that I'm keeping track or anything.

Hi Shirley, Oh my, that was fantastic! It brought tears to my eyes! Our dogs love us so much, and they were SO excited to see him! Thanks for sharing, I hope they all get to come home soon!!

That was an awesome welcome home video, Shirley.  Sure gives the word warm fuzzies meaning.  Our brother-in-law just returned home in December, it was a joyous moment for all of us knowing he was safely at home with his family and his pets; I am sure he had a warm welcome such as this.  ((Hugs))  Shawn

Hi Judi -- Couldn't be better. Hi Mary -- I had the same reaction as you. Hi Shawn -- All soldiers should have such a wonderful homecoming. I just noticed that my comments are doing something weird. Oh well, that's AR for you.

Simon ... thanks for this post and video "Welcome Home Soldier". I hope lots of folks see this and be reminded how much love we should be sharing with the young people who are putting their lives on the line to protect us.  Best wishes. Harrison

Harrison -- Excellent comment. James -- When my daughter comes for a visit, my dog treats her the same way. It is really cute to watch.

That's weird... my enter key doesn't seem to work when I respond to several comments at one time. Whatever...
